Understanding Transgender

We are all born male or female.  However, are we all meant to be born male or female?  Is there ever a glitch in the DNA mega-circus occurring in fetal development that possibly crosses the lines of communication?  Due to the number of trans-gender people in this world one would have to say yes, there could be a glitch.  So many people living life as one sex, and feeling on the inside they are the opposite sex.  Everyone has an opinion when it comes to trans-gender.  They feel trans-gender people have an emotional disorder, or they don’t want to admit they are actually homosexual.  Trans-gender people would argue that they are neither, that they always knew they were the opposite sex of the body that they were given.

The decision to transition from one sex to another is huge.  Obviously male and female have their differences. Women transitioning to men need to be on hormone supplementation for a long time, to begin to grow facial hair, lower their voices and begin the outward transition to living life as a man.  Men transitioning to women will need different hormones, to stop their male hair growth and begin to form breasts and mammary tissue.  Of course the final step in a trans-gender transition is the restructure of the sexual organs, and many trans-gender people wait years before undergoing this final step.  Whatever their reason is, they can live their lives as the gender they choose and take that final step when they are ready.
